Professor of Energy Efficiency, Alternative Energy Sources & Nuclear Physics

Plamen Gramatikov is the Professor of Nuclear Physics & Alternative Energy Sources at the Neofit Rilski South-West State University and Professor of Energy Efficiency & Energy Management at the European Polytechnical University. He received MSc degree from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, former USSR (now National Research Technical University of Russia) in 1981 and PhD degrees in 1996, respectively. Plamen was a member of the Expert Working Group of the Committee on Economic Policy at the National Assembly of Bulgaria (20010-20113), member of the Interagency Working Group at the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism (2009-2012) and a member of the Advisory Council on Energy Efficiency at the Sustainable Energy Efficiency Agency (2010-2012). Since 2008 till 2012 he was the Local Project Manager of EU/EBRD credit line for Energy Efficiency in Bulgaria (EUEEFF) and worked on implementation of different EBRD’s Energy Efficiency programmes in Bulgaria and in the South-East European region as EUEEFF, BEERECL, WeBSECLF, BEECIFF, etc. Currently Plamen is the Senior Key Expert on Energy Efficiency Verifications of the Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH-Vienna for the Kosovo Sustainable Energy Project (KoSEP) of EBRD–London.
